Poor pay. Poor location. Hard to find.
There is a cafe.... but the hot dogs are old. Sometimes they are days old. I worked there as a minor, and had to work
Christmas eve.. that was hard.
• Pulls freight. check the departments. return items. straighten the items in the department. stock items on shelves. help customers.
• I learned how to operate pallets jackets.
• Management is Good.
• Expectation around work style and volume.
• Stock 50 lbs dog food/cat litter.
• Chill with coworkers on break and lunch. coworkers thats funny.
The only thing I really didn't care for I'm a warehouse manager and we didn't have any incentives at all just more higher up mangers did . Feel like they didn't care about anyone else except themselves.
The people there were nice but the management could use some work.
Very stressfull at time as there would be one person working multiple departments and they would expect it to be all done within the short shift times.
Many employees I worked with and most managers were hardworking, decent people, but the district through corporate management was the problem.
They spent a lot of money on a consulting firm to train us on a bunch of fine ideas about how to treat people, take pride in your work, etc. The people I met usually already upheld similar standards so it seemed like a positive new direction. Alas, nobody at the salary level ever bought in and simply maintained the status quo of always blaming the employees and never listening to constructive employee or customer feedback.
Corporate always knew best about everything, and especially so when they were wrong. They had only one solution for everything: cut payroll. Stores are messy? Shoppers complain because they can't find anyone to assist them? Check-out lines take too long?
Not meeting quotas for add-on services? Too much badly-chosen merchandise is just sitting, not selling? Cut the payroll and say the employees must be lax since they're not accomplishing what's actually overtime output on part-time hours. When you blame unempowered employees for the bad results of bad corporate decisions it's only a matter of when, not if, the business will fail.

My coworkers were fun to work with and I liked helping the customers if I could.

Finding empty merchandise containers from stolen items.

It was a good environment and people.

Clocking in after I locked my purse in my locker, getting a cash drawer for my register, waiting on customers, running a cash register, ringing up customers merchandise & bagging it, straightened or cleaned around the register or service desk, helped customers with what they're looking for, did layaway for customers, took layaway payments, stocked shelves, did recalls, answered the phones and clocked out after I turned in my drawer.

Nothing , they totally made your job experience fun and rewarding.

Like a family , manager worked alongside everyone in all jobs.

Everyone was cross trained and we could easily fill in where needed.
Long hours, low pay, extremely boring. Nothing is ever really difficult and there are barely any customers unless it's a holiday. The store environment is very depressing and plays the same music over and over again for 8 hours.

Worked the customer service desk and had no cashiers for hours after opening. If any issues arise and I needed help management to busy to respond or help.
